Training

Chula Leadership Project

We partner with professional outdoor educators from Thailand and Singapore, Chulalongkorn University and churches to provide leadership training to individual faculties and student government at Thailand’s oldest and most important university. The training comes in two formats—in class, over several weeks, facilitated by recent grads from our churches, focusing on basic leadership skills, teamwork and conflict management skills; and two-day outdoor adventure learning, where students learn leadership and teamwork skills through activities like abseiling (rappelling) and climbing over a 4 m. high wall! We base our teaching on John C. Maxwell’s leadership writings and workbooks. Students in doing the course work are also required to do community service projects in Bangkok slums. This year Imagine Thailand will help train over 1,200 students.

iCan, iMust, iWill

We are developing a three-week training program for university students to discover their potential and calling to make a difference in their world. Students encounter the training through Passport Café and Gallery and have opportunity to apply what they learn at our projects sites in Southern Thailand and Mae Sot through short-term service projects. More intensive training is available in the form of internships.

Internships

We provide opportunity for international and Thai interns to serve local communities. Interns have served in Bangkok and in rural communities. We also have developed a Thai based Campus Minister in Training program whereby new graduates learn to serve in Thai universities. Our most recent Intern has pioneered a campus ministry at Ramkhamheng University—the world’s largest at 457,000 registered students.
