Relief and Development

In partnership with ERDO (Emergency Relief and Development Overseas), we focus our relief and development energy on three strategic initiatives in four areas of Thailand:

ChildCARE Plus

We provide the opportunity to support a vulnerable child through monthly sponsorship. Education, food, healthcare--our on-the-ground representatives ensure that boys and girls receive these basic necessities. Importantly, through relationships of trust they also receive spiritual nurture.

Educational Sponsorship Project in Northeast Thailand: We are assisting more than 270 children in northeast Thailand and host special events for children every month and an annual children's camp.

Crisis Response

Natural disasters, political conflict and chronic poverty threaten the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable families globally. We reach out by providing timely relief through economic aid, disaster restoration, and training that builds the capacity of communities to guard against future crises. As families struggle to rebuild their lives we also offer spiritual and emotional support.

Post-tsunami recovery in southern Thailand: Projects include basic support such as food and nutrition, income generation projects (for women in particular), educational scholarships for children, a youth center for children aged 12-18, a children's enhanced learning center for children ages 5-12, a children's daycare project of Phi Phi island, and a revolving loan project for income generation.

Burmese Migrant Children - School Projects in Thai-Burma border: Projects include development of clean water and sanitation systems, building of new schools and hostels for children, and a life book project for children living in hostels.

Community Development

Without improved health, agricultural advances and economic development, many communities are destined to a continued cycle of poverty. We come alongside communities to build on their strengths and assist them with sustainable solutions like a clean water supply, micro-finance loans for entrepreneurs, and training and technology for farmers.

Support to women and children, victims of terrorism, in the deep south of Thailand: Because of ongoing violence in Thailand's deep south, many women are widows. Project include educational sponsorship of children affected by the violence, income generation activities for women, development of safe houses for students to pursue higher level education, and nutritional support (milk and food) for children under 2 years of age.
